FF 2021 Something for the Guys

FF 2021 Scrimshaw Warrens

Imagine if you will, a frozen land with many secrets. Besides the shops hidden away in the ice caves along the path, Scrimshaw Warrens is the home of tabletop gaming for Fantasy Faire 2021.

If you ever played Dungeons & Dragons or any of the myriad of tabletop adventure games that followed it, this may spark memories. If you never played D&D or the myriad of games that followed, come take a class or watch a game to see what it's all about. Some of the groups continue their adventures throughout the year meeting in chatrooms or getting together in SL.

You may see strange and wonderous beings lurking along the paths as you travel through this cold and vaguely disturbing region. I've been haunting the cliffs wearing looks compiled from shops throughout Fantasay Faire.

I love the way the wings and tail from Aii pick up BOM skin and tattoo textures to blend perfectly with the body. Any tattoos you wear will appear in some manner on the wings. Above, the wings have picked up the feather patterns from the Aii Avian Ibrida tattoos in my bodysuit. Below, they show the runes from my leg tattoo. All Aii products come with color and texture huds to further personalize them.

FF 2021 The Quest!

One of the most popular activities at Fantasy Faire is the Quest.

This event within an event takes questors all over Fantasy Faire in search of information and items to aid the Bard Queen in her battle against the UnWeaver.

This year's chapter is called The Language of the Birds.

William and I are modeling this year's EXCLUSIVE outfits created by Bee Dumpling and Solas Enchantment from Silvan Moon Designs . Terra Volitant made the helper birds we have on our shoulder. You need to purchase a hud in order to do the Quest, but if you are successful in completing it, you will receive goods that far exceed the cost of the hud!

Purchase of the Hud is a 100% donation to Relay for Life. Both outfits are included with the Deluxe Quest Hud for a donation of L$350; a Quest Hud without the outfits is available for a donation of L$250 at any of the FF 2021 regional landing points. .

Welcome Home, Fairelanders!

...was the common greeting as Fantasy Faire 2021 appeared out of the mists and the portals opened to the public.

Indeed, for many of the merchants, support folks and Fantasy Faire Fans, it did seem like a homecoming, but home has changed!

With 21 new regions, there will be lots to explore over the next few weeks.

Fantasy Faire runs from April 22 ~ May 9.

While folks were pouring into the Junction on their way to adventures, a lot of those who had been running around in a frenzy putting finishing touches on the magic were partying on the Fairechylde, which has had a complete makeover and has even more room. After working so hard to get things ready, it was time to celebrate!

Fantasy Faire is the biggest yearly event in SL and is a major contributor to the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life.This picture shows the amazing Zander Green DJing the first official party for this year's Faire.

The time was 12:01 pm slt, one minute after the Faire opened to the public. The L$ amount on the sign shows how much the merchants and support staff had donated even before the portals opened.

It's Festival Time!

The fields are ripe and full of grain.

Held on 4 beautifully landscaped regions, the SL Renaissance Festival offers shopping with 40 excellent merchants, gachas, 70 hours of Entertainment, Tournaments, Jousting, Archery, RP classes and Interactive fun.

Kiosks throughout the event allow you to contribute to the American Cancer Society as they make Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Private Island

Welcome to Brando Island at Fantasy Gay Pride 2020. This region built on Susyn's Sparkling Sea is a tribute to a RL luxury resort in French Polynesia. There are a number of islands in the archipelago, each featuring something to be found at the real resort. Pictures here were taken at the Cabins and the Bird Sanctuary.

My resort wear has to be comfortable while looking sexy and pulled together. No sequins or trailing silks for me! I want to be able to go out in the rowboats and hike around the islands without having to worry about my clothing.

Fantasy Faire ~ All About the Purple

Purple to the core. Many folks will be wearing purple in the coming weeks as a sign that they attended Fantasy Faire and support Relay for Life. It's a matter of fellowship and pride for many of us, a thumbs-up to kindred spirits because many of the special edition items from the RFL vendors are in shades of purple or lilac.
It's been an amazing ride but the Fairelands will drop back into the mists on Sunday and there will be nothing left except for all the memories and the new goodies we scored!

I chose a lovely gown from [QE] Designs* as my final look for this year's Fantasy Faire.
I have a special place in my heart for [QE]. It's one of my regular sponsors and I know how excited they were to be included in FF! Everything in the event shop is in RFL vendors, so if you have the time and some L$, stop by and do a little last minute shopping. The proceeds go to the fight against cancer and you'll find some of the nicest clothing on the grid.
[QE] always features color huds with multiple choices and the textures can't be beat. This dress is the Dark version, there's also a Light version and each of them has 6 dress colors with 7 trim colors. You'll find these and lots more in the shop on Siren's Lore*.
