In yesterday's blog I made a few suggestions for those who would like to explore a fantasy lifestyle, but who might not know where to start.
Fantasy Faire will close at Midnight May 13, so ignore all the signage that lists the closing day as May 10. Since we officially have 3 more days to explore and shop, I'm continuing my general overview of what is available for new Fantasy folk @ Fantasy Faire.

Fae folk can be dark, light, or neutral and can be beautifully ugly or remarkably beautiful. They aren't ruled by the natural laws that affect humans. Fairies wear wings; Elves do not. They may wear clothing similar to human garb or they can dress in flowers, cobwebs, feathers or other natural materials. The only limits to creating a Fae persona are your imagination and wallet.

[Historic Role Play, Prehistoric, Egyptian, Roman, Victorian, Steam Punk]If a particular time period calls to you, try historical RP. Some groups are easy-going and welcoming to anyone who shows an interest. Others prefer structured interactions based on research about the particular time period or country. If someone in the group asks for your back story and starts grading you on the historical accuracy of your clothing or hairdo, you've found a serious RPer. (...and btw, yes, I know Isis wouldn't wear Ra's headpiece!)

[Dinkies, Tinies, Furries, 'Taurs and various other animals, critters or configurations...] Dinkies and Tinies are very popular and you see a lot of them at Fantasy Faire. Most are kitties or rabbits, but other types are available and mods for all sorts of body changes are available. They have their own regions year around and have a fully developed culture complete with their own events, language and dietary specialties.

The list of possible Fantasy personas is literally endless, and we don't judge, so go forth shrink, grow, add more legs, wings, armor or fur, discover your inner fantasy persona and HAVE FUN!
