A Poem from UNTAMED INK

In a town drawn in black and white,

every word was law, every wrong made right.

If it wasn’t printed, it did not exist.

Truth was whatever he chose to twist.

He owned the ink.

He owned the page.

He caged the world in a paper cage,

smiling streets in crooked line,

every soul by his design.

He grew bored of his perfect game,

so he called a thing with no true name,

asked for power, asked for more,

asked to own the world he tore.

The Devil smiled. No deal was made.

It simply opened what he’d caged.

From below, where silence slept,

something stirred the town had kept.

Great arms of ink dragged through the street,

painting truth where lies would meet.

You can’t print what won’t obey.

Ink remembers anyway.

and a clowder of the Basement Kittehs.

 
To say it was "controlled chaos" is being generous,

but everybody seemed to be having a good time 

and were donating either to keep the miscreants

locked up or to let them go.

 

All donations went to Relay for Life, so it was a win for all concerned.

Fantasy Faire ~ Too Many Little Ships

• In the midst of all the fun and excitement of Fantasy Faire, I took a moment to light a memorial candle for my son who lost his battle with the Unweaver a year ago today. He fought bravely and with determination for far longer than anyone thought possible and was content when it was time to go.  

• Fantasy Faire gives those struggling with cancer in SL a place to temporarily forget the pain, for the caregivers to catch their breath and for those who mourn to do so openly while feeling the support of others who truly understand. 

• Blessings on all those who participate in Relay for Life. Someday there will be a cure and the little ships will find a harbor. Till that day comes, we'll keep fighting!

Fantasy Faire ~ Heian + Aii's Spirit Fox

• HEIAN is a fantasy region inspired by the spirit and worldview of Japan’s Heian period. In this era, people did not see the visible and unseen worlds as strictly separated. Instead, unseen presences were felt close to everyday life. 

• Within HEIAN, oni and yōkai appear throughout the world. They are not portrayed as monsters, but as forms shaped by human emotions—uncertainty, desire, hesitation, anger—that have taken on visible presence. In classical tales, these beings are not separate from humanity, but exist alongside it, reflecting inner states rather than external threats.

• In Oriental mythology, fox spirits (狐狸精, huli jing) are believed to be intelligent foxes that gain magical powers as they grow older. According to traditional belief, a fox can live for hundreds of years, eventually acquiring the ability to transform into human form. These spirits can be malevolent, benevolent, or neutral and are often associated with mystery, cunning, and otherworldly allure.

• The fox’s ability to transform represents flexibility, cunning, and the idea that appearances can be deceiving. Fox spirits are often associated with feminine energy (yin), seduction, and mystical powers. The number of tails signify their expanded knowledge and magical prowess, with 9 tails being the ultimate.
• In Buddhist and Taoist traditions, fox spirits sometimes act as intermediaries between humans and deities or as embodiments of karmic or cosmic forces.

• Aii's shop in Fantasy Faire introduces their newest creation, Spirit Fox * for Legacy F and Reborn with huge huds of color and texture options. Claws, Ears, Tail, Geta and the Body Set are available separately or all together in a Fatpack. I'm wearing tattoos I already had (I have a long history of being a Kitsune) but check out the tattoos available in the Aerth part of the same shop. Demos for everything @ both the Fantasy Faire Shop and the MAIN STORE.

• Ah, the studies of magic… The delicate skills of aetherweaving, conjuration, transfiguration and more. Bending the very essence of the world to mend or maim. If you seek such knowledge there is no better place than the Aetherium. Enjoy your visit but be prepared; it's dark and the ways twist back on themselves. Fantasy Faire ~ The Quest

The Quest has begun!

The Bard Queen calls upon the peoples of the Fairelands 

to help restore the land and to gather some amazing awards in the process.

Read the backstory HERE.

• You will need a hud to participate in the hunt. Purchase your Quest Hud from the RFL kiosk at any official landing point. 
• The Regular Hud can be purchased for a L$250 donation.

• The Deluxe Hud is available for a L$350 donation. It includes everything from the regular hud package as well as the complete outfits for male and female human hunters shown here. The Deluxe Hud includes outfit sets for Humans, Tinies and Dinkies from Grasshopper Street and Totally Dinkies/Tinies.

• Buy the Pilgrim Forest participation hud. 
• READ the INSTRUCTIONS, attach your hud and your helper, Hero, a tiny white faun companion and you're ready to Quest. Hero will be invisible till you reach a certain point in the Quest. The hud will provide hints and TPs as you go along.
• Start looking for the Bard Queen in Fairelands Junction. You need to find her in order to start your quest.
• 100% of all L$ paid for the Quest Huds is donated to Relay for Life. The mountain of prizes for those who successfully complete the Quest is amazing!

Start your journey by finding the Bard Queen, 

who will explain the purpose of your mission.

If you agree to help, she will give you a badge

 indicating your status as an official Pilgrim.

Fantasy Faire ~ Amon Galadrann

• What can you do on a sleepless night? When Fantasy Faire is open, there is an obvious answer to that question!  
• The Fairelands are somewhat less crowded between midnight and 6 am slt. It's a good time to explore. 

• I opened my Fantasy Faire 2026 Teleport Hud (available at all the major landing points throughout the Fairelands), pointed my cursor and found myself in Amon Galadrann,  an ancient land occupying the space between where light meets shadow, where nightmares can be dreams and dreams can be nightmares. 
• The main landing zone is high above ground level across a sky bridge from the Temple. It's a lovely region that will definitely give you your daily 10K steps. There are stairways...and more stairways...and yet more stairways... There are stores hidden away along the walkways surrounding the Temple, as well as in the Elven village at the bottom. 
• I reached the village just as the sun was rising and it was glorious! Enjoy your visit!
