Tensor's Flying Market
If you take a look at yesterday's blog, you will see some flying platforms in the distance behind Trollhaugen Mountain. I decided to go see what awaited there.
There are wonders to be had in Tensor's Flying Market. It is rather like a Moroccan city with airy shops and rich colors, with the accent being on "airy". The city is flying, supported by numerous propellers. This is the Fantasy Faire steampunk version of a Moroccan city.
There are beautiful things in the shops, but something new that really caught my attention was the table gaming.
Much of my misspent youth was dedicated to playing D&D with graph paper and a pencil. (Yes, I really am that old!) The equipment has changed, but the challenge of being part of an ever-changing story is the same. These guys have spent so much time playing that their pieces have assumed their personalities.
The table was a little large, being sized to accommodate full sized goblins, but I didn't let that stop me from getting into the game. I died gloriously several times and have a standing invitation to join them again. You can join the table gaming group if that sounds interesting to you. There is a sign-up kiosk in the corner tavern.
Following the game, I did some shopping and then relaxed on the roof. What a lovely way to end a busy day at Fantasy Faire 2019! Remember, all donations and a portion of sales go toward Relay for Life, so It's a winning situation all the way around.
