Waiting for Santa

Every wonder what Mrs. Santa does while Santa is out making his rounds? 
Contrary to popular belief, she doesn't stay at the workshop. It's much to noisy and bright. 
The gnomes (they aren't really elves, you know...) will be drinking all night to celebrate another successful year. They tend to sing off key and challenge each other to fart contests, so as soon as Santa's sleigh is out of sight, Mrs. S heads to the private cabin in the woods.

There she plays in the snow like she did as a girl and makes Santa's favorite gingerbread men while she waits for him to get home with the special gifts he has saved just for her. 
She always worries just a bit and pretends to be angry with him for being late, but after a millennium and a half of marriage, he knows she isn't really angry, just concerned.
