She danced in the spray just above the tideline. Spinning and hopping in the mist and fanning her wings with joy at the sunshine. She looked as much a part of scene as the rocks and the waves. We watched her frolic for a while and then made our way along the beach hunting for shells and bits of ocean glass.
Later that night as we made our way back, we saw that the faerie was still there, but now she was stock still and seemed mesmerized by the glowing bubble in her hands, which she gazed at like a scrying mirror. "It's almost time!" she whispered.
