Hallowe'en Fun @ Deception

With so many Halloween events going on, it's hard to know what will be worth visiting.
I would like to recommend a small event at one of my favorite regions: Deception, a tribute region based on the Deception television series.

Besides having a Halloween Market, there is a Skeleton Hunt and a Creepy Carnival with interactive games and rides. Accept the hud, find the bones and win some prizes. What could be easier? Hint: it isn't that easy!

I accepted the hunt hud and followed the blood trail and the hint notes until I stumbled across the Carnival. I threw darts at balloons till I won a prize and spent an inordinate amount of time playing both claw machines (something I'm addicted to in RL). I had a great time even if I didn't finish the hunt! The hunt area is beautifully landscaped and decorated and the carnival is creepy without resorting to jump scares or buckets of blood.

Day of the Dead

One of my favorite things to do at this time of year is a visit to Dia De Muertos in SL.

In fact, the first public picture of my avatar back in the day was taken at one of the first Dia de los Muertos events.

The observance of El Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) in Mexico and Central America dates from pre-Columbian times. It is believed that this is the time when those who have passed away return to earth to visit with their families and friends. This occasion, on November 1 and 2, ceremonially and festively honors those who have died, and brings focus to the other aspects of the life cycle: fertility and life for the future.

[QE] is Subject to Modify-cation

[QE] Designs always offers a variety of colors/textures for everything they sell. It seems very appropriate that [QE] is doing the Modify Event, where EVERYTHING is designed to be changed.
