Fantasy Faire 2024 ~ The Quest!

  • The Quest has begun! Read the backstory HERE.
  • You will need a hud to participate in the hunt. Purchase your Quest Hud from the RFL kiosk at any official landing point. The Regular Hud can be purchased for a L$250 donation. 
  • READ the INSTRUCTIONS, attach your hud and your helper (Theo) and you're ready to Quest. The hud will provide hints and TPs as you go along.
  • The Deluxe Hud is available for a L$350 donation. It includes everything from the regular hud package as well as the complete outfits for male and female hunters shown here. There are outfit sets for Humans, Tinys and Dinkies from Grasshopper Street
  • All L$ paid for the Quest Hud is donated to Relay for Life. The mountain of prizes for those who successfully complete the Quest is amazing!




  • You start your journey by finding the Bard Queen, who will explain the purpose of your mission and tell you how to make your assistant animal visible. Good luck!

More Fantastic Changes

  • We're both using the BeSpoke Deep Sea Siren Head *. The Head comes in 5 colors or all colors in a fatpack with head, ears, eyes, shape and skin for both male and female mesh bodies. Crown available separately. 
  • Bespoke has all kinds of heads to help you become the creature you envision and they're on sale at the Faire for 24%-75% off. 
  • William is using the shape that comes with the head. I modified the female shape so that I didn't look quite so much like one of the soldiers from Alice in Wonderland. I narrowed the shoulders and added a little softness to the arms and torso. I didn't change the head shape because changing it distorted the BeSpoke head and I liked that just the way it was.
  • When modifying a shape for any body, be sure to save a copy of the original shape with a clever label like "Siren shape ORIGINAL" so that you can start over if you don't like the results of a change. You can usually get a redelivery if you mess up an avatar, but sometimes that isn't an option and it's better to have a pristine copy than to regret making a change.
  • You too, can become something totally unique with items from Fantasy Faire. Have fun becoming the fantastic creature you were meant to be while raising money to support the American Cancer Society!

Becoming the Fantastic Creature You Were Meant to be!

  • When some people join Second Life they don't really understand the variety and depth possible in the various SL lifestyles. They move into their Linden home and shop at the big box sales and think that's what it means to live in SL. 
  • Fantasy Faire offers an easy and painless way to explore alternate possibilities for SL residents who don't normally role play or consider themselves whimsical.
  • A variety of personas can be developed through the use of avatars and accessories modeled on a particular bit of folklore, book, film or graphic novel. Fantasy Faire creators can provide everything you need to move completely into an alternate reality. 
  • If a complete change seems too radical, try walking around the Faire in a fantastically colored skin or wearing a pair of wings. How do you "feel" as a fairy, elf, dragon, or something you only dreamed of being? If you enjoy it, welcome to the family! 
  • Check out the Shopping Guide for inspiration. Be sure to read the vendors carefully and try a DEMO if possible. Some purchases contain complete avatars and others are mods which will require the separate purchase of specific body parts or heads.
  • Case in point: You may notice my pictures bear more than a passing resemblance to a resident of the Avatar movies. This avatar is a cooperative effort between Star Mesh Body and Merc & Mindgardens. The Panthoria Kit is free with the purchase of the Star Mesh Body, which you'll find at half price in the store in Wistlyn Shallows, sponsored by Star Mesh Body. The Kit comes with multiple skins, body shapes, tail, ears, hair and costume. 
  • You'll find all kinds of other fun things from Mindgardens Creations in their separate shop in Whispering Pages.

Fantasy Faire 2024 ~ Fairelands Junction

"So tell me about Fantasy Faire. Somebody said there are something like 20 regions. I wouldn't even know where to start."
  • If you don't know where to start, it is tradition to start in Fairelands Junction.   
  • It isn't unusual for those who have attended Faire in past years to tear up when they first arrive. Fantasy Faire is much more than just an event. Welcome home, Fairelanders!
  • Close to the landing point you can join the Fantasy Faire Fans group and pick up a HUD that will allow you to teleport easily from region to region. You can walk or fly from region to region, of course, but most folks find the teleport hud to be a godsend after a few hours of walking. A familiarity with Junction will prove very helpful to you later on, but more about that when the time is right...
  • At Junction you will find portals representing the various regions. See a picture that looks intriguing? Touch it and you will find yourself whisked there immediately.
  • Turn to the north and find yourself on a winding path through the verdant countryside. Niches in the wall hold Memorial Candles to illuminate the darkness in memory of those who have fought the battle against Cancer.
  • Donate to RFL in memory of someone special by purchasing a candle for L$100. The candles will light the Memorial area for the duration of the Faire and then will be returned to you.
  • Ahead on the path are Worldling displays showing proposed regions for future Faires, but for now you are on your way.

Springtime by the Sea

  • Casual wear with a twist from Wild Fashion. Bra, Panties and two styles of Leggings come with 60 textures in the double hud. The Leggings come in either a tricot fabric or a transparent shear. 

  • The vendor poster shows all bright colors, so I opted to go with pale pastels. All are beautifully done.
