SL Renaissance Festival ~ Joust

The banter was playful. These opponents had obviously faced each other many times and knew the other's strengths and weaknesses well. The taunts were mild and the wager was that the loser would buy the mead.

The combatants took their places and the countdown began 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 JOUST! 

The horses thunder down the tilt and lance tips meet metal. It's all over in a matter of seconds, so don't blink! In the case of a tie, the riders return to the ends of the yard and continue to battle till a clear winner is declared.

This is jousting at SL Renaissance Festival in the Medieval Games Alliance arena. 

Combat will take place throughout the event. Check the SCHEDULE for times.  

Who knows? With a little luck and lots of practice, this year's audience member could be next year's champion. Everybody has to start somewhere!

Held on 4 beautifully landscaped regions, the SL Renaissance Festival offers shopping with 40 excellent merchants, gachas, 70 hours of Entertainment, Tournaments, Jousting, Archery, RP classes and Interactive fun till October 4.
Kiosks throughout the event allow you to contribute to the American Cancer Society as they make Strides Against Breast Cancer.
