One last look from Designer Showcase for September

Inspired by the EXCLUSIVE Asia Skin from 7 Deadly S{k}ins, I decided to go exotic. You will find the featured items @ Designer Showcase * till Sept 28.

Showing 3 shades of the skin, Pineapple, Pecan and Oak. There are 10 shades in all, in sets of darks and lights, so you can go from very light to rich dark. This is the skin just as it comes from the box, no extra makeup or lighting effects added. There is also a shape available. These skins are also available as system skins to use with your BOM appliers. (Always try the demos to see how you like shapes and skins on your avi!)

Night moves

I donned another look from Designer Showcase as I wandered through the Statue Forest @ Fantasy Gay Pride last Monday. 
Fantasy Gay Pride is celebrating it's 10th year in SL. There are dances, stage shows, poetry readings, an art/photo gallery, a sim-wide hunt and all sorts of merriment and mayhem going on till Sept 29, when the whole place disappears for another year. 
Open to all sexualities, their goal is to promote understanding and acceptance of all healthy lifestyles. Fantasy Gay Pride is a featured event in the Destination Guide. Check it out!

• The gown from Sascha's Designs comes with multi-texture hud which ranges from very subtle to bright and bold. You'll find it @ Designer Showcase* till September 28.

Fantasy Gay Pride Sept 20-29

Celebrating our 10th year of Magic, Music, Entertainment and Fun, this year's theme is "Art" and the sims are absolutely amazing! The event has expanded this year to include wonders on land and we have added a full-sim sized Mer area called Susyn's Sparkling Sea. 

The goal of Fantasy Gay Pride is to promote acceptance and understanding of ALL sexual orientations. Members of the group embrace the fantasy lifestyle and, though we don't roleplay per se, you will see Elves, Fae, Drows, Dragons, Demons, Mers and various and sundry other beings from dreams, nightmares and classical literature wandering the lands. Feel free to don your fantasy garb and join us!

Unlike many Second Life events, you won't find a single merchant on the sims. 

Our event is funded entirely by very generous sponsors and by individual donations. You won't go home empty handed; there are gifts galore and a hunt that covers both the land and the sea, but we want you to have fun, dance, and be entertained and it's all FREE!

(To support our endeavors, there are tip accepters throughout the sim and please, tip the singers and performers!)

Fantasy Gay Pride opens @ 1 pm slt today with a poetry reading, to be followed by 3 hours of dancing and entertainment. We hope you will be able to join us. The sims are Moderate. Please follow SL TOS guidelines for your wardrobe and behavior. Here is your TAXI

Spoonful of Sugar

We all know that the best kind of shopping is shopping that benefits a worthy cause. 

This week's worthy cause is Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres MSF). 
The event is Spoonful of Sugar, which includes nearly 200 designers, all of whom donate a percentage of their sales to Doctors Without Borders. In the last four years this SL event has raised $40,000 USD for this international organization which is committed to bringing quality medical care to people caught in crisis regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.

I wanted an exotic look for my trip to SOS, so I combined items from three of my sponsors  as I browsed the streets of Morocco. You know how it is... you have to look good to go shopping, so I turned to three of my favs to put together something out of the ordinary!

• Mani Pedi is participating in SOS with 50-100% of sales going to Drs Without Borders. Mani Pedi offers a wide variety of nail collections. The posters at SOS just give you a peek at what you'll find in the Main Store. Unique vendors allow you to purchase just the polish type that matches your mesh body, so you don't have unneeded bottles of polish cluttering up your inventory. 
• Designer Showcase brings you a variety of clothing, home décor and accessories, many of which are EXCLUSIVE. The Designer Showcase collections change every month with each new session opening on the 5th of the month.
• DE.Boutique offers clothing and shoes which always include a variety of textures and colors. You'll see them at various events around the grid. The link here is to the Main Store.

Sunday in Sedona

Succulent Sofa set from Heart Homes is available till Sept 28 @ Designer Showcase * 
It was just what I needed to decorate the simple desert house that Alb recently provided it's group members. I'm kind of glad Max decided the laptop was his bed. It gives me an excuse to relax on the sofa, eat cactus biscuits and drink my latte.
The sofa comes with either Adult or PG animations. When you buy the Succulent set, you get everything shown here except for the puppies.
