Beachin' It

You know the story. You may have lived it. You plan a relaxing day with your best friend, but on the way to the beach, you have a huge fight over something really stupid, like him taking a "shortcut" and getting stuck in a traffic jam. You end up not speaking to each other for half the day.

You both feel miserable, but neither wants to be the first to apologize.

Then he does something insanely silly and you just have to laugh. Before you know it, you're both saying "I'm sorry". The earlier argument is forgotten and you're having a wonderful time.

As you prepare to pack up, he realizes he doesn't remember where he parked. "Climb up the palm tree and see if you can see the car."

Here we go again! Next time, I drive!

As temperatures soar, it's important to remember that we're all human and that it's more important to be kind than to win the argument. Take a breath, smile and say "I'm sorry I lost my temper", even if you are right.
