What the Dickens?
- The Dickens Project presented by the Seanchai Library And sponsored by Linden Labs is open!
- This immersive multi-region homage to Charles Dickens and Victorian England is beautifully landscaped and offers activities that are different from the usual SL fare.
- Learn more about the world of Charles Dickens and visit many of the locations from his stories.
- Travel back to Victorian Christmastime for unique sights and sounds.
- Take a ride in the coach pulled by Bay Rum Royal, the patient horse that travels throughout the event.
- Skate, dance and socialize. This isn't RP, it's atmospheric.
- Feel as though you are part of A Christmas Carol by attending one of the guided tours that present a full reading of the story, or if you can't work a story session into your schedule, pick up one of the personal audio huds that guide you through. You'll find them at the greeting area and at various locations throughout the regions.
- If you'd like to get into the spirit of the thing without making a huge investment in costuming, visit Tavistock Taylors and pick one or two of the free outfits available there.
- And of course, there is a hot fire and seafood snacks to welcome you to the Innsmouth House down by the waterfront. You'll find Fuzzbutt on the front porch. This furry Elder God has been a part of Dickens Project for the last 8 years.
