Burtonesque Beauty

In case you missed the memo, SL has gone Burtonesque.

I put together a look that combined the Corpse Bride

with Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd.

Introducing Emily Lovett, your friendly local dead girl.

Of course, my character hasn't just been languishing around the graveyard since the 1800s. She's wearing the latest style from Le'La which you can find @ Designer Showcase *. The lacy sleeves and leg warmers combine with frilly shorts and heels for the perfect look for the modern dead girl. There are 20 colors in the hud so girls of all sorts can mix and match to their heart's delight.

My decorating scheme is right out of a Burton movie with lots of black, white, spots and graphic designs. The bendy Lydia Bookcase on the right and the Rugs, Pumpkins and Blanket Basket are all from [QE] Home **. Each piece features a touch menu to personalize them as you wish in black, white, purple and teal. You'll find the [QE] items as well as most of the other decorating pieces shown in the pictures @ this month's Enchanted Event.

And just in case you lost count, it is only 165 days till Hallowe'en!

Fantasy Faire 2022 Something for the Guys

No Fantasy Faire would be complete without a nod to the creators who specifically create items for male avatars.

It is extremely difficult at the best of times to find clothing for guys .

There is good male clothing out there, but you really have to hunt for it.

Fantasy gear tends to be limited to belts and greaves with the occasional kilt.

Fantasy Faire 2022 Opet

What do you do at Fantasy Fai re? Part 5

We find Family. I have spent more time in Opet than in any of the other regions of Fantasy Faire 2022, partly because I have a great interest in ancient Egypt and I am mesmerized by the feeling of timeless beauty of the region, but mostly because there is such a feeling of shared JOY among the Fallen Gods family, many of whom have shops in the region.

Whether one was interested in learning about the Egyptian gods by doing the Thoth's Apprentice Hunt, rocking out at the Jail and Bail, or just looking for silly fun such as the Dinkie Cleocatra and Purrhotep Flash Mob, which took place during the Literacy Festival tour on Thursday, it happened in Opet.

Fantasy skins and tattoos from Fallen Gods are complimented by clothing, landscaping and accessories from the other shops in Opet. Even the Safe Waters Foundation fits in when one remembers how important the Nile was, and is, to the culture.
