Gentlemen, get yourselves over here! Ladies, take your guy, or if he really hates shopping, kidnap his avi for a couple hours and get him some stylish clothing.

 The shops are arranged on a nice splintery fishing pier so the guys will not feel like they're doing anything sissy as they stroll along looking in the bait shops and surfboard displays. There is hair, shoes, t-shirts, sporting goods, tats.... you get the idea. All that stuff that guys need to look sharp and sexy in one spot till July 31.

With profits going to Wigs for Kids, an organization that provides wigs for children who have lost their hair to illness, this is a good cause I whole heartedly support.
It will be packed the first week. It will be laggy. You will need patience and persistence to get it, but it's always worth it!

Designer Showcase for July

I made another visit to Designer Showcase and wanted to share a few items that haven't been featured much ~

This skin from ISBJ is absolutely gorgeous!
It's a beautiful dark golden brown and is shaded and highlighted perfectly.
The body suit from FurtaCor fits well and features really sexy cross lacing in the back.
I paired it with the KC Nenya heels which have a hud that allows you to color different sections of the shoes to match even a complex print like the suit perfectly.
The Tantalum necklace has a hud as well and looks great with both dressy and casual wear.

Another look @ KT Creators Festival

I mentioned the KT Creators Festival in my July 9 blog, but I would like to revisit it to give you a bit more information. This event benefits the Pink Ribbon Organization. In addition to merchant stalls there are gachas, 'One of a Kind' Auctions, Festival Bargains, Festival Exclusives and fashion shows.

Kushi's Textures ~ textures on the left are exclusive to the Festival; the textures on the right are auction items. What a wonderful dilemma: designing something with truly unique textures !
One of a Kind Auction - bid at the auction boards at the festival near the waterfall.  Only ONE pack of these textures will ever be sold in SL - Auction ends July 17 1.30pm.  There are lots of other items to be auctioned, so don't miss out!

Bargains galore at this one. Everything from furniture to clothing. Gachas in a few of the booths and down the center of the mall. IMHO, this event's must-have item is shoes by HILLY HAALAN. Cute Joice Wedges with 5 texture huds of 30 colors, one for each part of the shoe, as well as 4 metals. The color combinations are astronomical for these and they're only L$99. Sized for Belleza, Maitreya and Slink feet.

All the usual suspects are represented. Most of the items are Gorean style outfits, jewelry and equipment which have appeared at other gacha events. The gachas are L$30-L$50, so this is a good opportunity to fill in missing parts of collections. Each booth also offers a free gift, so you really can't go too wrong with this one.

Pulse Fundraiser

I can't think of anybody I know who wasn't affected by the shootings at the Pulse nightclub.
It has been a rough month in the gay sims as everyone tries to come to terms with what happened in Orlando.

After weeks of numbness and tears, SL has responded as it does best. There is a fundraiser for the families of the victims and the survivors. They will need financial as well as emotional support for a long time and I'm so glad that the SL community has stepped up in this way.

The designers are donating from 50-100% of their profits to the Equality Florida fund. I would ask you to stop by and look at the wonderful goods and services being offered for sale and at auction.
Items available at the site cover everything from makeup to furniture. There is a lot of variety and something to appeal to everyone.
