SQ1 Visits the Boom Warehouse

I love live music and dancing in SL. I spend a lot of time in various clubs. I'd like to share with you SL's newest Live Music venue, the Boom Warehouse. The fact that I'm the manager doesn't make me at all biased in saying it's one of the most enjoyable music experiences you can have in SL. Great musicians, smooth dances and a general positive vibe makes for a relaxing, fun evening.

The pictures here are from Monday's party with David Csiszer providing the entertainment. If you haven't discovered the SL Live Music scene, you don't know what you're missing! The Boom Warehouse is open every other Monday, so check Events to get in on the fun.

Beachin' outfit @ Designer Showcase

 Summer means shorts and crop tops. This month's offering from Purple Moon @ Designer Showcase is well-textured and unique in its styling. There is a lot of detail in the stitching along each edge and in the embroidered design on shorts and top. The strapwork bib on the top is extremely well done. Shown here in white and in blue. I paired it with the wonderful Marith Strappy Heels from KC for a casual but pulled together look.

Robbie Roo's Pride

Hidden away in Provincetown is a unimposing little shop called Robbie Roo's Whatchamagoos
(well... it's not really hidden, it's right on the corner of the board walk and the courtyard, but work with me here, we're going for atmosphere...)

Here you will find the unique, the beautiful and the totally different world of gay men's fashion for those who are ready to move beyond muscle shirts and cargo pants.
Robbie specializes in colors, bright prints and unusual designs. His pieces fit well and are wonderfully textured. He always includes free accessories, which really put his outfits a step above anything else being offered.
It's all about having fun and looking GREAT! Check out the demos in the store. Some items are for system bodies. Most releases are available for all kinds of men's bodies.

Robbie also occasionally does outfits for women, mostly because his female fans beg and plead for them.

SQ1: Not in Kansas Any More

Have you ever noticed that vacation spots aren't always as advertised?
I knew I wasn't in Kansas any more when I walked into the recommended lunch spot and there were hookahs where one would normally find the menu holders. I ordered an iced tea, which arrived steaming hot, but with nice black tea in a glass. Luckily my outfit from D2T which is available now @  Square1 helped me keep my cool till the tour bus was ready to leave again. Travel is enlightening.

A new round of Square1 opened June 1 and will be open till June 30. The offerings vary from hair to clothing to poses. Take a trip to the Square1 sim and wander the paths to find some truly nice items. I'm posing on the elemental circle in the center of the sim in a casual top from GL. It's a wife beater style tank with a hud for four different designs. This one is called Sirena and there is another called Sierra.

New from Robbie Roo

Robbie Roo's Whatchamagoos offers this cute Trianon playsuit and espadrilles for the Alchemy Event, June 1-14. RRW also offers matching shirt and shorts sets for the guys, as well as Canvas short suits for men.
I wore it to visit My Secret Garden. This sim offers a nice display of  art in the park and a not-to-difficult-to-find Secret Garden.

If you manage to find the Secret Garden, you will discover a book lover's paradise with books literally growing on the trees and a number of houses and scenarios depicting various literary motifs.

I found a house constructed of books, which was much nicer than that silly gingerbread one, a three story home that strongly resembled a boot with lots of children in the yard ...

... and I stumbled into a secret meeting inside a barn.
