- Today's Fantasy Faire blog brings us to the Holi region sponsored by Fallen Gods and designed by Alia Baroque, one of Fantasy Faire's most experienced world builders. The region is a mix of Hindu Temple Architecture and Nagara style buildings. Ancient carved friezes cover the walls and giant statues abound.
- Holi is a major Hindu festival celebrated as the Festival of Colours, Love, Equality and Spring. It celebrates the eternal love of the deities Radha and Krishna. Colorful explosions mark the hour in Holi and you can even pick up a GIFT package of puffy colors at the Holi Landing Point to help spread the cheer.
- Holi provided the perfect setting to highlight the amazing new Naga body mod from Aii.
- In mythology, a Naga is a serpentine, semi-divine being, often depicted as half-human and half-serpent, found in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. They are considered guardians of treasure, keepers of magic, and can be both beneficial and dangerous. Nagas are frequently associated with water and rain and are often depicted in art and literature. Nagas are not demons, they are common to Hindu/Buddhist scripture and commonly thought to be dragon or serpent-like.
